Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an infammatory mediated autoimmune disorder which forms a part of a spectrum of connective tissue disorders which can often attack any or many organ systems involving joints, skin, kidneys, lungs, brain, etc. Genetics and environmental factors can infuence the incidence of disease.
